What is the service?
ilovepdfe.com offers free tools to merge, split, compress, convert, rotate, number and watermark PDF files. The tools run in your web browser: your files are processed on your own device and are not uploaded to us. No account is required.

Is it really free?
Yes. Using the tools costs nothing, there is no paid tier and we do not add a watermark or our branding to your documents. We may change, add or remove tools over time, and we may introduce advertising in the future; our privacy policy will be updated first if that happens.
Your files and your responsibility
You are responsible for the files you process. Use the tools only with documents you own or have the right to copy, change and share.
- Do not use the site to infringe copyright, breach confidentiality obligations or break any law that applies to you.
- Keep your own copy of the original. The tools always create a new file, but mistakes in settings, devices or downloads can happen.
- Check every result before you rely on it, especially before filing, submitting, printing or signing a document.
- Remember that compressed pages, watermarks and page numbers are changes to the document; make sure they are acceptable where you send it.
Since we never receive your files, we cannot recover a lost document, see what went wrong inside it, or confirm what a result contains.
No warranty
The site and its tools are provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. This includes, without limitation, any warranty that a tool will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, fit for a particular purpose, or able to meet a particular file-size limit.
Results depend on your device, browser and the file itself. A large scan may be slow on an older phone, and some files cannot be processed at all, such as password-protected PDFs.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ilovepdfe and the people who run it are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site. That includes lost data, missed deadlines, rejected submissions and lost profits.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain warranties or liabilities to be excluded. In that case, the exclusions above apply only as far as your local law allows, and your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected.
Acceptable use of the site
Please do not try to disrupt the site, overload it with automated requests, copy it to pass it off as your own, or use it to distribute malware. The code that runs the tools includes open-source libraries that remain under their own licences.
