Who this privacy policy covers
This policy applies to the website ilovepdfe.com and the free PDF tools on it. ilovepdfe is an independent website; it is not affiliated with iLovePDF S.L. or ilovepdf.com. Questions about this page can be sent to contact@ilovepdfe.com.

What happens to your files?
Your files are processed locally in your browser and are never uploaded to us. When you choose a PDF or an image, the browser reads it on your device, our JavaScript code does the work in the same browser tab, and the result is saved back to your device.
This is possible because of a standard browser feature. MDN Web Docs describes the File API this way:
“The File API enables web applications to access files and their contents.”
- We have no server that receives, stores or processes documents. We cannot see, open, copy or recover your files.
- The PDF libraries the tools use are served from our own site, not from a third-party code service.
- Files and results exist only in your browser's memory while the tab is open, and in the place where you save the download.
- After each job the page shows how many bytes were read and confirms that 0 bytes were uploaded.
Do we use cookies, analytics or advertising?
No. At launch the site has no analytics, no advertising, no tracking pixels, no social media widgets and no user accounts. We do not set cookies and we do not store anything in your browser's local storage.
If this ever changes, for example if we add privacy-friendly visitor statistics or advertising, we will update this page before the change goes live, describe exactly what is collected and by whom, and change the date at the top.
What data does our hosting provider receive?
The site is a set of static pages hosted on Cloudflare Pages. Like any web host, Cloudflare receives standard request information when your browser loads a page, such as your IP address, browser user agent, the address requested and the time.
Cloudflare may log this request data to deliver the site and to protect it against abuse and attacks. It does not include the contents of your files, because those are never sent. Cloudflare handles this data under its own privacy policy.
What data does Google Fonts receive?
The site's typefaces are loaded from Google Fonts. When a page opens, your browser requests the font files from Google's servers (fonts.googleapis.com and fonts.gstatic.com), so Google receives your IP address and browser user agent as part of that request.
Google processes this information under its own privacy policy. The font request contains no information about your documents. If you prefer to avoid it, browser extensions that block third-party fonts will still let the tools work; the page will just use a fallback font.
What happens if you email us?
If you write to contact@ilovepdfe.com, we receive your email address, your name if you include it, and whatever you put in the message. We use this only to reply and to fix the problem you report.
- We do not add your address to a mailing list or share it with anyone.
- We keep correspondence only as long as it is useful for the conversation or for tracking a bug.
- Please do not attach confidential documents. We can almost always reproduce a problem from a description or a harmless sample file.
Your choices and rights
Because we do not collect personal data through the tools, there is usually nothing for us to show, correct or delete. If you have emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence, and we will do so unless we must keep it by law.
For data held by Cloudflare or Google as described above, contact those companies directly or use the privacy settings and tools they provide.
Children
The tools are general-purpose and do not ask for any personal information, so they can be used by anyone. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children; if a child has emailed us and a parent wants that message removed, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page whenever the way the site handles data changes, and we will change the date shown at the top. Material changes, such as adding analytics or ads, will be described here before they take effect.
